Lou Papera has a wide range of experience in commercial leasing, construction, and development of commercial properties, property sales and purchases, and other commercial real estate transactions. Lou has assisted owners, asset managers, property managers, and brokers in acquiring, leasing, operating, and selling office buildings, office parks, industrial buildings and parks, retail centers, and mixed-used projects. He has also represented owners in connection with billboard and other outdoor advertising leases. In addition, Lou also assists his clients with management matters relating to commercial properties, such as drafting and negotiation of leasing agreements, management agreements, temporary occupancy agreements, work letter agreements, escrow agreements, indemnification agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, and private club membership agreements, as well as providing counsel in connection with lease defaults and disputes, and other issues that arise in connection with the ownership or occupancy of commercial space.
In addition to representing owners, Lou works with tenants to assist them with their space needs, whether that be for office, warehouse, manufacturing, or any other use, leveraging his extensive experience representing landlords to reach the finish line faster than might otherwise be possible. Prior to the formation of RHPH, Lou was a Shareholder at Kitchens Kelley Gaynes and, before that, a Partner at Pursley Friese Torgrimson.
In his spare time, Lou enjoys hiking, kayaking, travel and spending time with his family.
